From my reading, it seems that there's a lot of science to properly removing paint from aluminum and prepping the surface for a new coat, and while i want to do a good job, i don't want to make this my life's work; this is a fishing boat, not the ceiling of the sistine chapel.. Duralux aluminum boat green marine spray paint may also be used as a specialty primer on slick, hard to paint surfaces such as steel, steel chrome, chomemoly, zinc and cadmium plating, galvanized and stainless steel.. For paint to stick you must remove the oxide by etching and them paint with a good aluminum primer and then with a good paint that will last. other wise the paint will not stick to the aluminum and in no time at all it will look like crap..
